草榴社区West Campus Gives Out "Do it With Love" Awards for the Month of February!
Newburgh Free Academy, West Campus is doing it with love for the whole month of February! Each Friday, the building nominates one scholar and one faculty/staff member to receive their Do It With Love award.
“At 草榴社区West, we value rigor, relevance, and most importantly, relationships.” 9th grader, Chelsea spoke as she introduced the awards.
Student Advisory Council sent out a survey to students and faculty/staff to complete. On the Google survey that 草榴社区West students completed, we asked the question: How does this person “Do It With Love” at West?
Mr. Joseph Tricario was selected as 草榴社区West’s first Educator of the Week for their Do It With Love Award! Students said:
“He takes his time with teacher and makes sure you understand the work.”
“Because he loves to give and what is a better way to do it with love than to give.”
“He always has a positive attitude and he’s always happy. He is nice to people.”
“He helps me with work and is a very good advisor.”
“He’s always keeping us in check and gest us to do the work and makes us work hard.”
He listens to what we have to say and how we feel. He keeps his advisory on the right track. His confidence in everything he does falls on me.”
Ms. Nancy Johnson, was selected as 草榴社区West’s first Scholar of the Week Week for their Do It With Love Award! Staff said:
“She is always positive and her personality is infectious.”
No matter what challenges she faces, she knows how to bounce back and aim for success.”
“She is always warm and considerate, even if she is having a rough day. Her smile is a ray of light.”
Dr. Padilla, Superintendent of Newburgh Schools and Nancy’s parents joined for the presentation and celebration of the award.
