草榴社区Wrestling Team Makes History at State Championships!
HISTORY MAKING! Not just one, but TWO 草榴社区Wrestlers have won State Championship title in their respective weight classes!
Will Soto (101lbs.)
Cooper Merli (108lbs.)
Soto had a perfect season, breaking two school records going 51-0 for this season and having an overall record of 99-6 as an 草榴社区Varsity Record.
This is Cooper Merli’s second consecutive State Championship title. Last year Merli took home the title at 102lbs. Merli was the first 草榴社区state champion since Al Favata in 1968.
Five athletes from the 草榴社区Varsity Wrestling team competed at States, with four earning state titles - another school record!
