Gardnertown Leadership Academy Recognizes Student Language Proficiency Achievement
Gardnertown Leadership Academy recognized 17 students who reached the Commanding level for English Language Proficiency on the 2024 New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT). The NYSESLAT is given to all students who are identified as English Language Learners (ELLs) to annually assess their English language proficiency levels. Families and friends joined the leaders at Gardnertown to celebrate their achievement as ENL teachers, Bilingual teachers, and administration acknowledged students' hard work and determination. 草榴社区North senior Angie Ludena, was featured as a guest speaker, and local businesses donated special prizes to award the students.
